The first song of my life which I sang from my tongue was Junaid Jamshed’s ‘Dil Dil Pakistan, Jan Jan Pakistan’. And my most favorite naat is ‘Muhammad Ka Roza Qareeb Aa Raha Hai’ by Junaid Jamshed.
2016 has become the worst year for Pakistanis who lost Amjad Farid Sabri, Abdul Sattar Eidhi and now Junaid Jamshed. JJ was not only a Pakistani TV personality, singer, artist and fashion designer but also was among the ‘most loved personalities of Pakistan.’
He has been listed by The Muslim 500 as one of the “World’s Most Influential Muslims” for his involvement in charity work, especially with the NGO Muslim Charity from 2003 until his death in 2016.
Famous singer-turned-preacher was killed along with his wife Ayesha Junaid in the Islamabad-bound PIA PK-661 flight that crashed near Havelian.
He travelled extensively to spread Islamic teachings. He was in Chitral for preaching-related work. Life is seriously so short and unpredictable, you never know what’s coming next and what day will be your last.
There was an outpour of grief from people of all walks of life as they mourned the demise of the most-loved person of Pakistan.
