Faryal Makhdoom Khan was bullied for three years by family members of her husband Amir Khan.
The 25-year-old model said that she was subjected for the past three years of bully ‘physically and mentally’. Due to Faryal Makhdoom ‘modern lifestyle’, her ‘family photographs’ were cropped and edited her face by her husband’s devout Muslim family.
Her bedroom locks were changed by in-laws so they could have access. She also claimed that she was treated like a maid when she has to be up by 8 A.M every morning and make breakfast for the whole family.
According to her, it all started after she moved into the boxing star’s family home in Bolton. She also claimed that Amir Khan’s eldest sister Tabinda hit her and threw a television remote at her.
“I never felt I could do anything right. I was bullied physically and mentally,” the mother of two-year-old daughter Lamaisah told The Sun.
“One day I said, ‘Enough of this s***, I’m going to speak up. I’ve had it for three years and that’s enough’.’” She also called ‘cultural shock’ to moving in with mum Falak, dad Shah, brother Haroon, 25, and sister Mariyah, 19.
“It was a big culture shock being an American in this northern town. There, they think you are a bad Muslim if you show a bit of skin. I felt like I didn’t fit in,” she said.
“Amir didn’t know what I was going through. They said, ‘Ok, every morning she has to be up by 8 A.M and make breakfast for the whole family. What a cheap and humiliating thing to suggest. They were basically saying that’s all a daughter-in-law is good for.”
“When I went to do laundry on the other side of the house, his eldest sister Tabinda slammed the door on me,” she said. “I said to Amir’s mum, ‘Is this fair? Tell your daughter this is wrong’. But she just brushed away my words.
“Tabinda hit me and she threw a remote at me, which missed. Mariyah cropped me out of family photographs, which was hurtful, and has said nasty things about me.”
“When the locks got changed and when my sister-in-law threw the remote, I did say that. But I was scared his parents would convince Amir to divorce me if I called the police,” she explained.
“I salute myself for sticking around but I’m American and one day I said, ‘Enough of this s***, I’m going to speak up’,” she said. “I wish for Amir’s sake we could get on. It’s ironic that his parents didn’t want him to slip out of their hands. Now he’s slipped out of them completely.”
On the other hand, Amir Khan might be ‘too upset’ on his family matters. But he looks too smart and champion on this matter too. He is trying to do ‘his best’ for his gorgeous wife and parents too.
Recently, he bought a new house for his parents. “Bought my parents a beautiful house #blessed done the best I can for everyone,” he posted on his Instagram.
Faryal Makhdoom also denied reports and social media gossips that she faked in-law family drama for a reality show.
Earlier, UK tabloid The Sun reported that Mr. & Mrs. Khan look to have teamed up with new Sky channel ‘Booom TV’ for a Keeping Up with the Kardashians-style programme called Home With The Khans.
“I have NO reality show coming up. This isn’t a joke, and no HUMAN would put themselves through this drama for a publicity stunt!”, Faryal posted on her Twitter account.
The allegations were denied by Amir Khan’s sister Mariyah. She took social media to clear her position. “Do I look like I can beat someone up?”
